Ferrari North America is very pleased to announce our provisional 2010 Ferrari Challenge seasonal calendar.
Note: while unlikely, one venue/date might still change!
6 Events in North America + International Finals
In total, the 2010 series will be compromised of 12 North American races contested over 6 event weekends plus the International Finals in November, which as per usual will count towards the championship. Once again we will host the Corse Clienti department for 1 or 2 events this season to add some more Ferrari activities to the mix with their FXX and Clienti F1 programs.
Car Strategy for 2010 and 2011
With confirmation from Ferrari SpA we wish to communicate the strategy for the official Ferrari Challenge car for the upcoming two seasons (2010 and 2011)
The 2010 Ferrari Challenge season will be contested with the current F430 Challenge car exclusively.
In 2011 we will run two classes which will run parallel and at the same race weekends and each run for its’ own championship
1) The F430 Challenge Class
2) The new 458 Challenge Class
Considering the 458 Challenge’s performance characteristics, our Sanctioning body, Grand-Am, will require a valid FIA International Grade C license in addition to a Grand-Am license to participate in the 458 Challenge. A fast track to such a license is available through successful participation in a minimum of 4 Ferrari F430 Challenge races in 2010. For more details on FIA C license requirements, please speak with Maria McNeil.
Please stay in touch with Ferrari Beverly Hills to prepare for the 2010 season and let us know if you need assistance with anything at all. On-line registration will start at the end of January at our Challenge website: www.ferrarichallenge.com, where you are also invited to check frequently for news items about the challenge, which will help you plan for the season.
